The Church on Main Street, Brattleboro, VT
Ray Warren and friends continue their regular Friday night dance schedule at "The Church" on Main Street in Brattleboro, VT. In addition to several dance class series, he is continuing his popular "Lets Dance Friday Ballroom and Latin Dance. We have attended several of these Friday night dances and found them a great place to dance. The opening lesson is always very well taught. Ray has an easy style that makes everyone feel comfortable with the dance steps being presented. Each Friday night has a little different dance flavor, depending on the lesson taught that night, but there is still a good mix of ballroom, latin and swing. If you're headed towards Brattleboro on a Friday night, this is definitely a place to put on the top of your list.

Upper Valley Swing Dance Network
If you travel to the Upper Valley, you'll be happy to know that John and Sandra Tomeny are continuing their regular Swing Dances at Tracy Hall in Norwich Vermont. Their monthly Swing Dances held in September through June, are often coupled with afternoon workshops, giving dancers a chance to explore the broad range of dance styles to be found under the "swing dance umbrella". Tracy Hall lends a nice "New England" atmosphere to this monthly dance series. Be sure to check the UVSDN website for up to the minute news on dances and workshop schedules. All of these events and more can be found on our Dance Schedule page.

Website Guidelines and Policies
Our purpose is to promote and encourage ballroom dancing and related dance styles in the Keene, New Hampshire area. We maintain and post an on-going Dance Schedule and Newsletter as well. Both the Dance Schedule and the Newsletter are intended to be"interactive". That is, we encourage you to help us by posting dances that you know of or hear about, and by sending items of interest to us so we can share them in our Newsletter. We try to cover an area that is within an hour travel time from Keene. We only post dances that are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, so we can not list events planned by private clubs or organizations that are intended for members only. We focus on ballroom dancing and other closely related dance styles. These include swing, country western, tango, latin and other similar types of social dancing. We do not include Contra Dancing, because the listings would be quite extensive and they are generally well advertized through other media networks. We never charge any fee for posting Dance Schedule notices or for including articles in our Newsletter. We do not accept free tickets or other "gratuities" in exchange for website advertizing. In short, this website has no recognizable means of support other than our personal efforts and whatever help you can provide by submitting Dance Schedule listings and news articles. Who are we? We are Don and Joan Watson. We live in Westmoreland New Hampshire and WE LOVE TO DANCE!

A Final Note
Dance events sometimes slow down over the summer months, but for now at least, our Dance Schedule has a lively mix of dance opportunities for you to consider. Keep an eye open for summer concert series that offer an opportunity to not only listen to great live music but also do some informal "dancing under the stars". So, if gas prices are putting a damper on your summer travel plans, check our Dance Schedule page to see what's happening right around home. Have a GREAT summer!
